The 2" Ratcheting Medical Tourniquet (RMT) by m2 Inc. is designed for extremity hemorrhage control on adult limbs where higher strap contact area is preferred — particularly relevant for thicker limbs, prolonged use, or environments where pressure distribution is a concern. The ratcheting buckle applies controlled, incremental mechanical pressure without a windlass rod.
The wider 2" (50mm) coyote webbing provides a broader contact footprint than the 1.5" version, which can reduce point pressure on soft tissue during extended tourniquet application. The 1.0" m2 ratcheting buckle is sized to match the wider strap. Single-hand self-application is achievable with training using gross motor movements only.
Instructions are printed directly on the webbing. The system is self-locking; deliberate release is required to loosen. Audible ratcheting confirms engagement. Folds flat for storage in a TQ pouch or open carry position.
Training note: Regular practice with your specific tourniquet model is required. Simulate deployment from your actual carry position, with your non-dominant hand, under time pressure.

Love the customer service, sticker selection is always a win.
Good quality fast shipping and in my opinion easier to applying then a cat tourniquet
The RMT serves to bridge the rapid, single hand use of the CAT, without being dependent on the windlass, while also not having the same difficulty that some may find with the SOFT-W system. While the length of the rachet piece itself might prevent the same degree of compact carry that the other models have, the RMT has no problem laying flat, with as many as three RMTs being able to be packed into a single, double 5.56 magazine pouch. These can also carry great in a concealed manner too, since there is limited printing concern without the windlass/retaining clip.
Arguably the easiest CoTCCC approved tourniquet system to train individuals on & achieve consistent, effective applications with. Get at least two- and also look at the pediatric/kids versions given the limited options that exist for such patients, which can double for K9 use as well.
Ordered on a Wednesday, got the package on Friday of the same week. Wow!! So the TQ, looks/feels/and IS solid. Simple to use. Simple to stage for rapid use. The ratcheting system ensures that you get proper compression on the extremity.
If youre not using this, a SOFTW, or CAT7, YOURE WRONG. GET PROPER MEDICAL TRAINING.
